Sunday update

Weather: mid 30s by mid-day, SE wind 15-ish mph. They are saying that a light snow is possible around then also. So what do we do? Meet up at Crane Coffee at 78th and Cass around noon and decide from there? I was planning to be home by 4-ish so I'm up for 3 or so hours.

Post responses for ideas.

The start time for me would work better around 12:15 or 12:30. The length of the ride is fine, too. I just don't know where we're gonna go.

Yeah, I've done the Bellevue loop about 4 times in the last couple weeks. It's a great loop for SE wind, but it's getting boring. I'm up for a different meeting spot and route if you have ideas. Ryan Feagan and Roxy are probably going to join. They live in Midtown. And If Jonny joins, he's coming up from Bellevue.

We could do something crazy and meet even further South and shoot for Glennwood. I was thinking meet at Culvers next to Twin Creek Cinema (36th and almost HWY 370), and head south to Plattsmouth via Chris Lakes. This would be a completely new route for you, Bryan(I think) and is lots of fun.

Or any other suggestions or input is very welcome.

I can be at your house by 12:15 probably, though I'm bailing if it's snowing. Let's go south. What the hell.

Ok, plan is 12:15 at Starbucks at 63rd and Center (it's new). We'll leave from there and head South on the trail, hop off at 36th street, make our way toward Plattsmouth/Glennwoord, and see how far we get before we run out of time or it starts snowing.

Plan ok?

that'll do, pig. that'll do.

It's quite funny you use that quote. I have been a complete pig today. No ride and very food choices that were very, let's say, un-weightloss challenge '08 like. So I'm thinking close to 4 hours is going to be my goal for the ride. Super bowl can wait, I have some calories to burn.

ummm. radar shows snow definitely on the way. Mike, if roadies start bailing, I'll take the mtb out. and Mike your commuter ought to do well.

roadies may start bailing ...

Bail, I have to go to best buy and get new TV. We have been looking for awile and the one we picked is not available in Papillion at 10 am but Omaha 1100 so no way can I do it. See you guys next week.

Aaaaannnnd I'm out. I'm riding the rollers in the basement starting at 12:30. Three hours. Probably the 2005 spring classics. Whee!

Crappity crap crap. Evil white stuff on the ground.

Ryan, what's the plan?

watching radar for a bit longer. it seems we're just going to get light snow. But i want to be confident that we wont get an hour from home and then get ice/snow/rain/mix.

roads are already wet/sloppy but I bet keystone is still frozen/not as sloppy.

Munson lets tentatively plan to ride at 12:30, start at Starbucks as suggested. I'll be on a mountain bike with fenders. I'm calling jeff bergen.
