Sunday ride? Possibly indoors?

The forecast for Sunday is mid 30s and cloudy. I don't know if I'm ready to ride in that kind of weather yet. I'll have to dig out all my wintery clothes if we do head out.

Or we could all meet at someone's house and break out the race dvds? I'm up for whatever. I'd like to take a poll and see what everyone thinks. Indoor/outdoor and timeline also.

RESPOND!!!

But Mike... is it also too early to ride indoors?!? Tough decisions sir. Either way is fine with me, I'm relegated to easy spinning so it could be more enteraining to watch people clobber themselves indoors while I stroll along, let me know I'm probably game for anything.

BTW, I'd say the Big Wheeled Ballyhoo may have some issues with this forecast...

Ya think? They were going to camp out there too. I tried camping outside in really cold weather once. No sir, I don't like it.

What kind of pace and distance do these Shabbos+1 rides usually entail? I'd probably be up for something on Sunday morning. But outside, definitely.

Chris, can you ride a bike? If so you'll be fine. See my comment above, its going to be a pretty casual pace for me so if somebody wants to get all racy they can go ahead, I'll still ride with you. Distance... well they can get lengthy sometimes. What do you have to work with time wise?

I'm pretty wide open, and I'm interested in logging some decent miles. So, I could to mid- to late-morning until mid- to late-afternoon. Or whatever. My spousal unit indicates flexibility.

Cool. Munson I think its 2-0 on being outside. I'll be tapering for a battle with a treadmill so its going to be good times. Hopefully I can wake up after the Gator game.

Sunday. Outside.

No idea on time, though.

3 for outside so that sounds like a plan. Just need to figure out the start time and place.

Anyone up for 9am at the Scooters on 120th and Blondo? Supposedly it'll be mid 20s with little wind at that time then creep up to 39 throughout the day. Break out the tights and long sleeves.

Dang it... Outside it will have to be. I can do the 120th and Blondo. I'll dig out the cold weather gear and practice up on the swearing. It always helps to curse at mother nature. Hot coffee will be a must though. See everyone at 9am.

I'm in, too. Is okay if I wear baggies and leg warmers? Or do I need to go buy some tights? (smile)

Oh, and by the way, was that a Mr. Horse reference in the second comment?

Judging by comments I'd call the score 3-2, no? If Bryan can't attend timewise it's a tie game.

I should be able to make 9 work. In that case, my vote counts for two.

right?

Jonny, man up and grow a pair then be prepared to have them crawl back up on Sunday's ride.

Chris, wear whatever you like and
Con grab u lations, you are correct on the random reference.

Mr. Miles, to settle the score I, the main author of this blog, do hereby decide that the ride will be at 9am at 120th and Blondo Scooters. *Crack, crack!* (The sound of the e-gavel.)

Bryan, I'll expect to see you there in maybe knee warmers and possibly 2 shirt layers - WOOKIE!!!

bryan said...

yeah, that's pretty much what I was thinking. Two layers, plus arm warmers and knee warmers.

Darn, I wanted to go, and I love cool weather rides (my record is -15 degrees), but aside from regular short five miles commutes and the 13 miles or so we did during the 2009 Dirty Wicked Tour, I don't have any longish cold rides under my belt.

Unfortunately, other obligations prevented me to riding with your gents today.

Have fun!
