Meh...

I gots nothin.  I work most the day Saturday (time and a half, baby!!), then on Sunday early AM, I'm volunteering for the Papillion half marathon.  It'll be a wild time of riding 13 mph back and forth along the course.

If my rear's not sore from sitting on my bike for a few hours, I may be up for an afternoon ride on Sunday.

Sunday afternoon may be good for me too. Just shoot me a phone call or txt when you're done marathoning.

It was great running into you on the trail today while you were working the Papillion half marathon. Great looking bike, too, by the way. What is it?

I never did find that mythical path to southwest Omaha. The dotted line for the West Papio Trail remains dotted.

Oh well, the 32 easy miles of exploration on a cool Sunday morning were good for the soul.

Ryan, I'm more than just rear-end tired from this morning. I did almost 4 hours of riding. Granted the total mileage was about 50, I'm still rather pooped. Hope you can find another afternoon group to hang out with. I gotta rest then clean house!

Scott, it was great to finally meet you too. So did you end up taking a bunch of neighborhood sidewalks? West Omaha is so tough to get around on bike. You got main busy thoroughfares and subdivisions. No sane direct routes on a bike. But yes, it was a great cool morning to putz around on the bike.

All good. Rox just drug me all over the metro area, from darn near glenwood to ponca hills then back home. and I am bushed. that plus the Bike Masters mountain goat ride yesterday and I'm pretty toast after near 8 hours on the bike this weekend.

Good job Mike it volunteering to help with the marathon. Very good of you.

Hi Munson:

Nah, I rode down Portal Rd a little but when it narrowed to two lanes at 40 MPH speed limit, I turned around and went back. Looking at my google map on the iPhone, I didn't see any magic route. My friend will probably have to stick to Harrison to get to the Keystone.

It was fun exploring, though. It's cool to know that I could ride by bike all the way to Walnut Creek Lake and maybe Shadow Ridge by trail if I wanted.
