This ride promises to be 10 x more exciting then the dribble you'll find on Sweet Home Alhomoha, i.e."I'm in base three, I rode two hours on my trainer in zone 2, blah, blah, blah, zzzzzzzz. Yes, Brian I am calling you out.
Specifics: we'll leave from my house at 1:00 and take the long route, 50ish miles, approximately 4,000' of elevation gain and depending on the group three hours of ride time.
I could be down for that. Where is the departure point and what is the pace gonna be like?

Read it again: I do not have the gear for a three-hour ride in single-digit temperatures. I'm more than ready for a three-hour ride on gravel, but not in those temperatures. Sorry I'm not tough enough for you.

sorry, I'm not going to blow a few hundred bucks to ride gravel once or twice a month. I don't like you guys that much.

ReplyDeleteNow Brian, this could be the best two bills you ever spend, I get far more value from my winter gear than anything else I own. One nice jacket i.e Pearl Kodiak,a base layer and a pair of amfib tights and your set. As a shop manager I'm sure you were already aware of that.
You live in Nebraska, these items will get used and they last for years.
+Winter shoes, gloves, and a thermal cap.

I have two pair of winter shoes, what size do you wear? Brady and a lot of people just use covers. I'm sure you'll get the work in, I'm just trying to add some spice to your life. I know how dreadfully boring a trainer ride in the basement is and how much I want to slit my wrist after the first 10 minutes of one.
